BMC’s Drive-on Vaccination Covers 400 Beneficiaries on First Day

Bhubaneswar: On the first day of ‘Drive in Vaccination’ effort by Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC), 400 beneficiaries are vaccinated and have enjoyed the hassle free zone during the time they took the jab. This novel step in the State capital has encouraged denizens to come forward booking their slots and come to the venue in a guided and disciplined manner. Two vaccination points in the basement of Esplaned One mall, Rasulgarh served 45+ category beneficiaries who came for vaccination. The center was well marked as lanes, registration check in, vaccination, waiting space and exit passage. Pre publicity of the initiative in different media regarding facilities and arrangements has resulted in covering 400 vaccinations in the first day of the drive. Team BMC lead by Zonal Deputy Commissioner, SE Zone Ansuman Ratha guided the whole process throughout the day. The drive started at 8.45 AM today has ended at 6.00 PM with a break of two hours from 1 PM to 3 PM. team of Enplaned One mall headed by Parth Pratim Nayak, the Centre Head supported in barricading, traffic management, registration check in and space arrangement. The entire space has been made as an information promotion zone using different displays with regards to Covid-19 vaccination and encouraging citizens to cooperate preventing the infection. During vaccination the vaccinators and team BMC have counseled beneficiaries about best practices and Covid-19 appropriate behavior. Subrat Ku. Panda, Jt. Secy. Water Resource Department visited the center as the observer for SE zone of BMC. During his one hour visit to the center he interacted with beneficiaries, the team BMC and authorities of Enplaned One Mall and has placed his appreciation to the team members. Newly joined ADUPHO Dr.Antaryami Mishra visited the venue and interacted with vaccinator as well as beneficiaries. Manoj Ku. Patra -51 says ‘I was in dilemma whether I can take vaccine in a center and wait after my illness but to my good luck the facility arranged by BMC at Enplaned Mall could enable me for vaccination today ‘ I thank BMC for such commendable step to fight the pandemic. Partha Nayak, Director, Esplanade One Mall and Shyama Jha, Marketing Head, Esplande One Mall were present and lent their support to make the vaccination drive successful.
