CM to Inaugurate Plasma Bank at Capital Hospital Today
Bhubaneswar: To facilitate Convalescent Plasma Therapy (CPT) for the treatment of serious COVID-19 patients, Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik will inaugurate a plasma bank at the Capital Hospital here today through video conferencing. The CM will also unveil a dedicated plasma website today. It would be the second plasma bank in the State. The first plasma bank was set up at the SCB Medical College, Cuttack, which was launched by the Chief Minister on July 16. The CM has reiterated his government’s commitment to providing advanced medical care and treatment to the people of the State. Naveen also appealed to all eligible Corona survivors to come forward to donate their Plasma which will go a long way in helping the treatment of serious COVID-19 patients. The State Government is planning to set up two plasma banks at MKCG Medical College and Hospital in Berhampur and Ispat General Hospital in Rourkela.
