Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Government has decided to allow banks and other financial institutions to operate as per normal banking hours with 50 per cent staff capacity till August 31. In a letter to all district Collectors and SPs, the State Finance Depart said that due to the urgency of the delivery of the financial services the financial institutions will have to function as per normal banking hours with fifty percent of the strength. All the public sector banks, private sector banks, RRBs, Odisha State Co-operative Bank, Small Finance Bank and insurance companies are allowed to function as per normal banking hour (10am to 4pm) for customers with 50 per cent staff, the letter said. Clearing House, Controlling Office of the Banks, SEBI, Controlling Heads of the Insurance Companies and RBI are allowed to operate as per normal functioning time with 50% of staff, it added. The State Government has asked the banks and financial institutions to follow the COVID-19 guidelines strictly.
